What are Dentures?
Dentures are false teeth that can be fitted to replace one, a few or all of your teeth. They can either sit on the gums or be supported by dental implants.
Whilst dental implants are fast becoming the optimal substitute for missing teeth, dentures can be a helpful alternative.
Function
Dentures are developed to make sure that they duplicate the feature of regular teeth. This will make it possible for the improved ability to chew, speak and function.
Without teeth, it can be rather hard to eat particular foods. A set of well fitting dentures will certainly enable you to eat most of your foods once more.
Versatile
Dentures are relatively easy to place and remove and do not rely on adjusting neighbouring teeth. They are also easy to fix and can be adjusted and have teeth added to.We would expect dentures to be replaced every 3-5 years.
Dentures can be made from chrome or acrylic. Your dentist will be able to advise you on the best options that will suit your individual needs.
Aesthetics
If you have photos of how you used to smile, they are useful to share with us so that we can do our best to replicate the shape, size and position of your denture teeth.
Dentures and implants
Dentures can be attached to implants to give you a secure feeling with your teeth and the advantage of removing them to clean.
