Mohsin graduated from King’s College London in 2009 with a number of awards and prizes including the Emslie Periodontics and the Souyave Endodontics prize. At the end of his Vocational Training year in 2010, he was awarded a national prize with the British Endodontic Society. He completed his Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was awarded Membership to the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK).

Mohsin rotated between Bart’s, The Royal London and Whipps Cross University Hospitals immersing himself in surgical training in the Oral and Maxillofacial departments. In 2011, he was accredited to become a Dentist with a Special Interest (DwSI) in Oral Surgery and has since been taking referrals for advanced surgical procedures from referring dentists, completing several thousand wisdom tooth extractions. In 2012, owing to his experience and clinical excellence, Mohsin was offered the prestigious position of becoming a Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the Royal London Hospital with Bart’s and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He enjoyed lecturing and developing a strong bond with dental undergraduates and dental core trainees. In 2019, Mohsin moved on and was appointed to become a post-graduate clinical tutor on the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners’ Diploma in Primary Care Oral Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons.

Mohsin is an educational supervisor and post-graduate lecturer for foundation dentists in the LaKSS Deanery, training the next generation of dentists and to support them through their journey from university to dental practice.

Mohsin completed the flagship postgraduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons and furthered this with advanced training from some of the world’s most renowned dentists. He is reassuringly experienced in the whole spectrum of implant dentistry taking referrals from dentists in London, Essex and the home counties. He regularly mentors implant colleagues and visits a select few practices to provide implant, sedation and surgical services.

Mohsin listens to his patient’s concerns carefully and provides the right treatment for each patient’s individual needs. He prides himself with being caring and always honestly advises what would be in your best interests in a transparent manner.

Outside of his busy work schedule(!), Mohsin is a proud father to a young son. He enjoys reading, playing cricket and has taken scores of dentists to refugee camps in Calais, Greece and the West Bank to carry out dental treatment and help restore dignity to people who need a helping hand.

Zunaira graduated from King’s College London in 2013 and underwent postgraduate training at The Royal London and Whipps Cross University Hospitals in the Oral and Maxillofacial departments. In 2015, she was awarded a diploma and membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Furthermore, Zunaira underwent training at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry.

Zunaira is an approved invisalign provider She has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and spends much of her clinical days improving smiles through Invisalign, short term orthodontics, tooth whitening, veneers, composite bonding and sedation.

Zunaira holds a prestigious position as a post graduate tutor for LaKSS deanery, lecturing foundation dentists throughout their training year as well as being an educational supervisor.

With a gentle approach and taking the time to find whether you are anxious, embarrassed by your smile or want to improve it for a special occasion, Zunaira focuses her care on your individual requirements.

Zahra qualified with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery in 2013 from Kings College, London and completed her foundation training in Leyton, East London.

Zahra has a keen interest in Aesthetic and Surgical Dentistry.

She completed a yearlong post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Southampton General Hospital, where she gained extensive surgical experience.

Zahra also carries out facial aesthetics at Oak Hill, providing anti-wrinkle, dermal filler and skin rejuvenation treatments, such as Profhilo.

Dr Majid is a qualified sedation practitioner and can offer this service to her anxious and phobic patients, to provide a pleasant dental experience.

Zahra is a dental foundation trainer, involved with shaping the future generation of dentists.

She is continuously striving to achieve the highest quality of care for her patients and was a recipient of the NSK Rising Star Award in 2020.

Aside from dentistry, Zahra enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures. She is also an avid baker.

I qualified as a dentist from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2017. I carried out my foundation dental training at Oak Hill and have been working as a general dental practitioner here ever since. This has been a fantastic environment in which to nurture my skills and provide the best possible treatment for patients and I pride myself for being part of the team.

Over time, I have developed a calm and gentle manner when treating patients and this has proved invaluable in easing patient anxiety and making it a comfortable experience.

I pride myself on having built strong relationships with patients in the locality. Having spent some time in general practice, I am now looking to enhance my skills in the field of cosmetic dentistry and hope to provide this as an additional service for my patients.

In my spare time I enjoy yoga, cooking with my husband, reading and of course eating out!

Dr Anika Kanda obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Cardiff University in 2020 and completed her foundation training in Solihull. She is passionate about all aspects of dentistry with a keen interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.

She believes in providing the highest standard of care to all her patients, ensuring to use the latest techniques and materials and minimally invasive dentistry. She frequently attends courses to further her skills and has recently completed a one-year postgraduate course in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.

Anika prides herself on ensuring that she provides the optimal dental experience to her patients through a caring and empathetic approach. Her aim is to build a strong foundation and to work together with her patients to achieve a perfect smile.

Outside of dentistry Anika loves reading, seeing the world and Pilates.

Shak qualified in Oral Health Science in 2017 at University of Essex. Prior to this Shak had studied BA Honours in Accounting and Business studies but changed his career to become a dental professional. Shak ensures every patient is cared for and continuously promotes good oral health. His personal and caring touch make Shak a very valuable member of the team. With attention to detail and by taking great pride in his work, patients feel at ease being treated. His welcoming smile and always kind and caring nature makes a visit to the dentist relaxed at all times. He is always reassuring and able to explain procedures in a friendly manner that makes patients understand how to manage their oral hygiene.

Before and after any treatment Shak takes a keen interest in communicating with patients to understand their needs and treatment requirements. He is highly motivated with a commitment to delivering outstanding levels of service and patient care. Shak has completed further training in managing Periodontal disease, Tooth whitening and Facial Aesthetics. Shak has undergone further training to be able to provide patients with Anti Wrinkle injections, Dermal Fillers and Skin Boosters ( Profhilo, Sunekos, Mastelli). He is undergoing his Level 7 diploma in Facial Aesthetics. In his spare time he enjoys to stay active and train at the gym along with boxing classes and circuit training.

Johana graduated from King’s College London with an honours degree, and awarded the associateship of King’s College. During her time at university she won awards such as the Gold Star Award and entrusted with being a member of the interview panel for prospective dental students.

Johana completed her foundation training in Essex and currently enjoys working as an associate at Oak Hill.

She continuously strives to put patient comfort and ease first whilst also maintaining and delivering high quality dentistry.

In her spare time, Johana enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing pool, travelling and trying new foods.

Sonia graduated from King’s College London in 2007 and has been a Specialist Prosthodontist since 2015 after several years of additional postgraduate training. She has recently been appointed to work as a Specialist at The Royal London Hospital and continues to visit Oak Hill to manage patients with complicated prosthodontic issues.

Her particular interests lie in tooth wear and the failing dentition and she aims to provide patients with comfortable and long-lasting dentistry that is as conservative as possible by utilising materials and techniques that minimise the need for an invasive approach.

Sonia enjoys teaching and is experienced in teaching both dental undergraduates and postgraduates and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority after undertaking a teaching qualification. She has been published in a variety of scientific journals and has presented her Masters research findings at an IADR session in Seattle, USA. She regularly maintains close contact with peers through conferences and study groups to ensure that she maintains best practice standards for her clinical work.

Outside of work, Sonia enjoys spending time with her young family, running and reading about everything and anything. She is also thinking of keeping bees.

Suhaym graduated from King’s College London with an honours degree. Following rotations in General Dental Practice, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry he undertook his specialist training in Orthodontics gaining certification with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

He is now an Orthodontic Consultant at Great Ormand Street and Royal London Hospitals. He stays up to date with advances in orthodontics, has presented at national and international conferences and co-authored a number of publications.

In his spare time he enjoys travelling and has had the opportunity to work as a Dentist with the Royal Flying Doctor Service In Australia

Consultant and Specialist in Restorative Dentistry

Khawer graduated from King’s College London and completed hospital posts at St George’s Hospital, Manchester and Birmingham Dental Hospitals before embarking on specialist training in Restorative Dentistry at King’s College Hospital.

He now works as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Kings College Hospital. He is the lead for patients who require complex oral rehabilitation following dental trauma. He is also actively involved with delivering postgraduate education for dentists aiming to become future specialists and consultants.

Away from dentistry, Khawer is kept busy by his wife and two daughters. He is a keen sportsman and follows Leeds United and can occasionally be found on a golf course.

Robin studied dentistry at King’s College London (KCL). He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009. In 2011, his continued pursuit for clinical excellence led him to being accepted onto the UK’s most prestigious programme in advanced fixed, removable and implant prosthodontics at the world renowned Eastman Dental Hospital and Institute, University College London (UCL).

Ammar Al Hourani qualified from Glasgow Dental School in 2009 and gained an interest in Endodontics early on in his career. Having completed several years as a Senior House Officer and General Dental Practitioner in various specialities including Restorative Dentistry, Oral Medicine, Oral & Maxillofiacial Surgery at Glasgow and Dundee Dental Hospital.

His interest led him to embark on a 3-year full time postgraduate DDSc endodontic training programme at Liverpool Dental School in which he achieved his Membership in Endodontics specialism examination by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (MEndo RCS Edin). Alongside his training, he completed his Doctorate (DDSc) in Endodontics, his research examined the effect of orthodontic treatment on traumatised teeth and its pulpal implications.

In addition to this, Dr Al Hourani works in several private endodontic referral clinics in London, Hertfordshire and Lincolnshire accepting endodontic cases of varying complexity, trauma management and surgical endodontics. Moreover, Dr Al Hourani is a Royal College examiner for the MEndo RCS Edin specialist exit exams and MFDS examinations.

Ammar lectures nationally and internationally with many distinguished educational institutes and has a real passion for teaching and academia. His passion for education inspired him to create ‘The EndoGuys’ and ‘The EndoRestorative Course’. Both courses are designed to help GDPs regain their passion in endodontics and stay in touch with current evidenced based endodontic philosophies. In his spare time Ammar enjoys going to the gym and Brazilian Jui Juitsu which hes been trying to master for the last 2 years. He has two beautiful kids which he spends time with and enjoys socialising with his family and friends.
